Reverse description A bold, plain long cross extends to the inner beaded border, dividing the reverse field into four equal quadrants, each left plain. At the centre of the cross, a small central ornament is visible. The circumferential legend, interspersed with ornamental mullets (five-pointed stars) and crosslets, runs between a double beaded border, identifying the issuing authority as the Viscounty of Limoges. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hammered medieval billon coinage of the early fourteenth century.
