Reverse description A plain Latin cross divides the reverse field into four cantons, each containing a combination of pellets and annulets — two cantons bearing pellets and two bearing annulets — arranged in alternating fashion around the cross. The cross is bold and well-centred within an inner circle formed by the surrounding legend. The retrograde and irregular Latin legend CEZLNGLVCИ encircles the design, reflecting the idiosyncratic lettering conventions of early medieval Bohemian die-cutters. The overall composition is typical of the Přemyslid denier series of the early eleventh century.
