Reverse description A bold cross pattée dominates the central field, with small crosslets (cross-of-four-pellets type) placed in the second and fourth cantons, serving as decorative and heraldic fillers. The arms of the cross extend to a beaded inner circle that encloses the design. The surrounding Latin legend is separated from the inner circle by a plain margin and reads from a cross pattée stop. The overall style conforms to the standard feudal denier typology of northern France in the 12th century.
