| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing crowned bust of Emperor Henry V depicted in a frontal, hieratic style characteristic of early medieval German coinage, with a prominent jewelled crown rendered in relief. Two six-pointed stars flank the bust in the field, one to each side. The effigy is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery. The facial features are stylised, with a beard indicated by hatching below the chin, consistent with Rhenish hammered denier production of the early twelfth century. |
