The crown is depicted as a prominent arched diadem with pellet ornaments, and the right hand raises a scepter resting on the shoulder. The effigy is framed by a circular legend in degraded but legible Latin capitals. The die-cutting exhibits the bold, somewhat crude workmanship typical of Salian-era hammered pfennige.
