Obverse description Central long cross with globular terminals dividing the inner field into four quarters, each containing a small symbol: three pellets, a wedge, a wedge, and a ring, respectively. The cross is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner circle within the outer beaded border, rendered in bold, somewhat irregular hammered lettering characteristic of early medieval Bavarian coinage.
