Reverse description A crosslet at the centre divides the field into four quarters, each containing a beaded circle enclosing a portion of the mint name legend. The four beaded roundels together read DIVSBVRG, distributed one or two letters per roundel, a design type characteristic of Rhenish deniers of the Salian period. The composition is bold and geometric, with the letters occupying the full interior of each circle.
