Reverse description A stylized schematic church or gate facade — a two-towered temple or cathedral structure — is depicted at center, flanked on either side by triangular gable or tower elements, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The architectural motif, characteristic of Ottonian imperial coinage from the Nuremberg mint, features vertical columns with dot ornaments suggesting arcade details. A degenerate or partially legible Latin legend surrounds the composition in the outer field, rendered in the angular letterforms typical of mid-eleventh century Salian coinage.
