Obverse description Facing left bust of King Henry III, depicted in a stylized Ottonian manner typical of mid-11th century Imperial coinage, wearing a crown with prominent arched or beaded decoration. The ruler's facial features are rendered in low relief with a bearded profile, conveying regal authority. The bust is contained within the inner field and surrounded by a circular Latin legend. The effigy exhibits the characteristic schematic workmanship of hammered deniers from the Minden mint.
