Henry III of Görz ruled a county increasingly squeezed between the ambitions of the Habsburgs and the Patriarchate of Aquileia. The Lienz mint — operating from the county's Tyrolean holdings — produced deniers of this type during a period when Henry was actively trying to consolidate territorial control before the Görz line's eventual extinction in 1500 left its lands to Habsburg absorption. Small silver issues from this mint are poorly documented in early sources, and the CNA classification remains the primary scholarly anchor for attribution.
