| Obverse description | Crowned facing bust of Emperor Henry II in high relief at center, depicted in a stylized, archaic manner typical of Ottonian-Salian coinage. The effigy shows the ruler wearing a crown with pendilia, rendered with summary die-cutting characteristic of early 11th-century German hammered deniers.
