| Reverse description | A multi-rayed cross of Brabant type radiates from a central pellet or boss, its arms extending toward the edge of the flan in a starburst or spoke-like arrangement. In the four angles of the cross appear the letters A and N alternating with stylised floral or rosette ornaments, forming the abbreviated ducal or regional device. The design is boldly struck in the primitive hammered style typical of mid-13th-century Brabantine deniers, with no outer legend. |
