| Descrizione del dritto | Central field dominated by a stylized rampant lion facing left, rendered in the bold, schematic manner characteristic of 13th-century Brabantine coinage. The lion's mane, limbs, and tail are depicted with deeply struck, angular relief typical of hammered medieval deniers. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with a partial Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the irregular flan. The overall execution is vigorous though somewhat crude, consistent with workshop production of the period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A large voided cross pattée occupies the central field, dividing the coin into four quadrants, each containing a pellet or small annulet ornament. The cross is boldly struck with splayed, slightly curved arms, typical of the architectural cross type found on Brabantine deniers of the mid-13th century. A beaded inner border encircles the design, with a fragmentary Latin legend running along the outer edge of the irregular flan. The die work is characteristically flat and schematic, consistent with hammered coinage of the Duchy of Brabant under Henry II or Henry III. |
