Denier - Henri VII Ratisbonne

Henri VII — more precisely Heinrich VII, Duke of Bavaria — held the duchy only briefly before Emperor Henry III reassigned him to Franconia in 1047, which sharply limits the window during which these Ratisbon deniers could have been struck. Regensburg (Ratisbonne) was one of the most active minting centers in the eastern Frankish territories, positioned on key Danube trade routes, and its output during the mid-eleventh century reflects the fragmented minting authority characteristic of the early Salian period.

Kluge Kar#270 places this issue within a well-documented typological sequence, though individual die marriages for this type remain incompletely catalogued.
