Reverse description Central device features a large cross pattée with a small rectangular or globular element at the centre, flanked by annulets or pellets in each quarter, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The cross is boldly struck and dominates the field, consistent with the Tournois-influenced denier type. A circular uncial Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, with pellet and annulet separators. The flan is irregular and slightly buckled, as is characteristic of hammered coinage of this period.
