Reverse description Central field features a stylized architectural motif interpreted as a church or gate facade, rendered as a triangular pediment above a rectangular structure with horizontal lines, consistent with the conventional depiction of Regensburg (Regina Civitas) on contemporary Bavarian deniers. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend reads REGINA CIVITAS, a Latinized form of Regensburg, characteristic of the Ottonian mint output of this city during the mid-tenth century.
