Obverse description A bold cross pattée occupies the central field, with a pellet in each quarter formed by the cross arms. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the bishop's name legend HENRICVS partially visible around the periphery. The strike is characteristic of early medieval hammered coinage, with an irregular flan and uneven relief typical of 10th–11th century episcopal issues.
