Reverse description The reverse features a stylized open blessing hand (manus Dei), depicted frontally with fingers extended upward within a beaded inner circle (grenetis), a common episcopal motif on Carolingian and post-Carolingian deniers. A surrounding Latin legend, reading D-SLOWART, references the mint place of Dieulouard. The relief is bold but irregular, consistent with the hammered production technique of the period.
