Obverse description Stylized temple or church facade depicted in profile, with a triangular gabled roof supported by columns formed by the letters of the moneyer's name. The inscription HARTVICS EPS is integrated architecturally into the design, with individual letters serving as the structural columns of the edifice. A small cross or decorative motif appears within the body of the structure in the field. The overall design is rendered in the primitive Ottonian-Salian hammered style typical of early eleventh-century German ecclesiastical coinage.
