| 正面描述 | Plain cross pattée centered within a beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quarters; a small pellet or trident ornament appears in the second quarter. The circular legend surrounding the inner circle reads GVIDO VICECOm in uncial Latin lettering, identifying the issuer as Guy, Viscount of Limoges. The overall style is characteristic of early 14th-century French feudal billon coinage, with a bold, simply rendered cross dominating the obverse field. |

Guy VII ruled the Viscounty of Limoges for barely three years before dying in 1317, leaving no male heir — a vacancy that triggered a prolonged succession dispute and ultimately accelerated the absorption of Limoges into the French royal domain. Billon coinage from such minor feudal lordships in this period was produced in small, irregular runs, often at facilities lacking consistent alloy control, which accounts for the wide variation in silver content seen across surviving examples of this type.
