Obverse description Within a broad raised crescent or arc border, a passant lion facing left occupies the central field, rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner characteristic of medieval German coinage. The outer border is decorated with small floral or rosette ornaments evenly distributed around the irregular flan edge, adding decorative framing to the composition. No legend is present; the design relies entirely on heraldic imagery.

Reverse description Two confronted or addorsed lions flanking a central cross-staff or scepter, depicted in a schematic, stylized fashion typical of Hohenstaufen-era bracteate-influenced pfennigs from the Nuremberg mint. The figures are arranged symmetrically within a recessed inner field, surrounded by a plain raised rim. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production, and no inscriptions appear on this side.
