Obverse description Frontal enthroned effigy of a bishop in full pontifical vestments, depicted in hieratic style within a pointed oval mandorla. The prelate holds a book of the Gospels in his left hand and an elaborate fleur-de-lis staff in his right. The figure is rendered in the Romanesque tradition characteristic of early 13th-century Alpine coinage, with stylized drapery folds. A partial Latin legend surrounds the central motif within the outer beaded border.
