| 背面描述 | The reverse, typical of a hammered bracteate-style pfennig of this period, displays a weakly impressed incuse or through-strike image corresponding to the obverse design. A standing frontal figure, likely an episcopal or ecclesiastical effigy, is faintly discernible within a circular border, rendered in low relief characteristic of the thin hammered silver flans produced at the Salzburg mint during the early 13th century. The surface shows natural flow lines and die wear consistent with the irregular flan. No legend is present. |

Eberhard II held the archbishopric from 1200 to 1246 — one of the longest episcopal tenures of the medieval German church — and spent much of it in bitter conflict with the Bavarian dukes over territorial jurisdiction in the Alpine passes. His deniers served practical fiscal functions in a region where control of mountain transit routes translated directly into minting revenue. The CNA type A 40 is among the more precisely attributable issues of his long reign, though the forty-six year span makes precise dating within it essentially impossible without die study.
