Obverse description Facing bust of Bishop Conrad rendered in schematic Romanesque style, the figure shown frontally with stylized facial features and episcopal vestments. A crozier is depicted to the left of the bust and a cross-tipped staff appears to the right, both serving as iconographic attributes of episcopal authority. The legend CONRADVS EPS encircles the central device, identifying the issuer as Bishop Conrad. The die work is characteristic of late eleventh-century Lower Rhenish coinage, with bold, deeply struck but somewhat crude relief. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border.
