Additional information

Conrad I ruled Brno as an appanage duchy under the Přemyslid system that partitioned Moravia among ducal brothers — a political arrangement that produced a distinct regional coinage but created chronic jurisdictional friction with the Bohemian crown. His deniers are among the thinner and lighter issues of the Moravian appanage series, a reflection of regional silver supply rather than deliberate debasement. Cach 368 is not common; surviving examples attributable to Conrad I's Brno mint are routinely misidentified in older auction literature under the broader Moravian denier category.
