Reverse description A large cross pattée at centre, with arms extending to a double linear border that also serves to divide the encircling legend into four segments. A large hand symbol, likely representing the Hand of God or episcopal authority, is placed above the cross in the upper field. A single star occupies one quadrant of the cross. The overall design is typical of Metz episcopal deniers of the early 13th century, combining ecclesiastical symbolism with the traditional cross-and-legend reverse format.
