| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a patriarchal cross, above which a pontifical mitre is depicted, flanked on each side by two pairs of crossed keys, the emblems of the Holy See. The composition is enclosed within a linear inner circle, with the surrounding legend running along the coin's periphery. The overall design is rendered in the crude but characteristic hammered style typical of late 14th-century ecclesiastical billon coinage. |
