| Reverse description | Central field displays a plain Latin cross with slightly flared terminals, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A small crosslet is placed in the second angle (upper left canton) of the cross, serving as the distinguishing variety mark for this emission. A circular Latin legend reading REMIS CIVITAS surrounds the beaded circle, preceded by a cross pommée, identifying the Reims mint. The flan is characteristically irregular, and the strike is moderately well-centred with some flatness at the rim. |
