Obverse description Central field displays the heraldic shield of Lorraine, charged with a bend sinister, surmounted by a displayed eagle with wings spread and head turned, rendered in the Gothic style characteristic of early 15th-century Lorrainer coinage. The shield is set within a lightly beaded inner border. The encircling Latin legend reads outward from a cross pattée stop, with letterforms typical of late medieval Gothic script.

Reverse description Central field features an upright sword with a prominent crossguard, flanked symmetrically by two six-pointed stars, all contained within a plain inner circle. The design is bold and schematic, consistent with the hammered billon coinage of the Duchy of Lorraine in the early 15th century. The surrounding Latin legend, separated by pellet stops, identifies the mint of Nancy and runs along the coin's periphery within a beaded border.
