Reverse description Central field displays a plain Latin cross with elongated vertical arm, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A small cross pattée appears at the top of the legend band. The surrounding circular legend reads TRIIECTO MON, identifying this piece as a product of the mint of Maastricht (Trajectum). The lettering is bold and characteristic of Carolingian epigraphy, set against a flat, hammered field typical of 9th-century West Frankish silver deniers.
