Beschrijving keerzijde	Central field displays a plain Latin cross with equal arms, set within a beaded inner circle that separates it from the surrounding legend. The cross is bold and well-centred, a standard device on Carolingian deniers serving both religious and monetary symbolism. The outer legend, introduced by a cross pattée, reads DIVI◊NI CΛSTRE, identifying the Dijon mint by reference to the castle of Dijon. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-hammered Carolingian silver coinage. Die alignment is variable, as is typical for issues of this period and workshop.
