| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central motif consists of a plain cross with arms extending to the inner beaded circle, with two pellets (dots) placed at diagonally opposite angles in the quadrants formed by the cross. The cross and pellets are boldly struck in relief within the inner beaded circle, conveying the standard Carolingian reverse type. The surrounding outer field carries the mint legend in capital letters, separated by a star-shaped or lozenge ornament, referencing the mint of Blois. The overall execution is typical of provincial Carolingian hammered silver, with some flan irregularity at the edges. |
