Reverse description A bold cross pattée occupies the central field, enclosed within an inner circle. The four arms of the cross extend toward the inner circle, creating four equal quadrants in the field. The peripheral legend BRITANNIE is disposed around the outer margin, preceded by a cross pommée, completing the titular inscription begun on the obverse. The coin's irregular flan and softly struck relief are characteristic of hammered billon deniers of the Duchy of Brittany.
