Beschrijving keerzijde	Within a beaded border, a schematic standing figure of Saint Cheron is depicted frontally, rendered in a highly stylised, almost cruciform manner. The saint holds a cross in each raised hand, the crosses formed by pellets and cross-bars in the primitive hammered style. The figure is flanked on either side by vertical rows of pellets, serving as decorative field separators and a hallmark of early Carolingian ecclesiastical coinage from the Chartres mint.
