Reverse description Saint Peter depicted kneeling to the right, receiving the keys to paradise in a devotional presentation scene. The composition reflects the strong Petrine iconographic tradition of the Archbishopric of Trier, whose cathedral was dedicated to Saint Peter. The figure is rendered in a simplified Romanesque style typical of hammered silver deniers of the early 12th century.
