Obverse description Frontal enthroned figure of Duke Bretislaus III rendered in Romanesque style, depicted seated facing, wearing a crown and holding a sceptre in the right hand; the figure is flanked by a large beaded arc or arch motif to the left, with additional decorative elements in the field. The design is characteristic of late Bohemian Přemyslid deniers with schematic, hieratic portraiture executed in the hammered tradition.

Reverse description Equestrian figure of Duke or knight in military attire, shown riding to the right on a caparisoned horse, holding a spear or banner; above the rider a beaded arch frames the scene, with the abbreviated legend of Saint Wenceslas appearing in the upper field. The composition follows the standard Bohemian denier convention of invoking the patron saint of Bohemia on the reverse in a schematic Romanesque rendering.
