Obverse description Frontal bust of a bishop rendered in low relief, wearing a mitre adorned with a row of beads along its base, flanked on either side by the stems of a crozier (to the left) and what appears to be a book or bible (to the right). The face is stylized in the Romanesque tradition, with prominent rounded eyes and a schematic nose and mouth. The bust is framed by a plain raised border, with the field exhibiting the characteristic shallow concavity of bracteate coinage. No legend is present.
