| Reverse description | As a bracteate, the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, a feature inherent to the single-punch striking technique employed for this coinage type. The Saxon shield and helmeted crest appear in shallow negative relief, with the surrounding legend visible in reverse. The flan surface is plain and unworked beyond the incuse impression, consistent with mid-fifteenth century Central German bracteate pfennig production. |
