| Beschrijving voorzijde | A heraldic lion passant, rendered in a bold Romanesque style, occupies the central field within a beaded inner circle. The lion is depicted in profile facing left, with a stylized scaled or mail-like body treatment and a prominent curling tail raised over its back. A partial Latin legend surrounds the inner circle within the outer rim, partially legible due to the irregular flan typical of bracteate coinage. The design is struck in high relief on a thin silver flan, characteristic of North German bracteate production of the early thirteenth century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | As a bracteate, the reverse presents a mirror-image incuse impression of the obverse type, showing the heraldic lion passant in negative relief as an artifact of the single-die hammered striking technique. The surface is concave and largely plain, with faint ghost traces of the obverse design visible in incuse. The irregular edge and thin flan are consistent with North German bracteate manufacture of the Welf period. |
