Wenceslaus II of Bohemia inherited Moravia as part of the Přemyslid domains, and the thin bracteate fabric used for these deniers reflects the Central European minting fashion that spread from the Rhineland eastward across the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The single-sided striking technique was not merely decorative economy — it allowed dies to be cut deeper and imagery to read more cleanly on coins too thin for two-sided production.
Cach 1006 places this piece within the middle period of Wenceslaus II's Moravian issues, before his 1300 monetary reform in Bohemia that introduced the Prague Groschen and fundamentally restructured coinage across the kingdom.
