| Beschrijving voorzijde | Frontal enthroned figure of King Wenceslaus I depicted in high relief within a beaded inner circle, the sovereign shown wearing a crown and royal regalia, the arms extended laterally in a majestic pose suggesting authority. The figure displays characteristic Romanesque stylization with schematic drapery folds rendered in shallow but expressive relief. The flat, broad flan is typical of Bohemian bracteate production of the mid-thirteenth century, with the design struck from a single die on a thin silver planchet. |
