| Beschrijving voorzijde | Frontal effigy of a seated bishop in episcopal vestments, shown full-face within a beaded inner border. The figure holds a crozier in the left hand and a cross-staff in the right, both extending toward the upper field. The bishop's mitre or nimbus is rendered in relief above the head, and partial lettering is visible along the upper arc of the coin. The design is typical of mid-13th century German bracteate coinage, struck in high relief on a thin silver flan with characteristic irregular edges resulting from hand-cutting. |
