附加信息	Theodoric I ruled Meissen during a period of intense rivalry among German princes jockeying for position between the competing Hohenstaufen and Welf factions. The bracteate format — a single-sided type struck on a thin flan — dominated Saxon coinage from the mid-twelfth century onward, largely because the technique allowed mints to produce lighter, cheaper coins without visibly reducing silver content on both faces. The Löbbecke reference traces to the collection auctioned in 1905, still a foundational resource for this series.
