Obverse description Facing bust of the bishop in high relief, depicted frontally within a raised inner circle, wearing a mitre surmounted by a cross; the face rendered with schematic features including large eyes and a broad nose. To the lower left of the figure, a crozier curves inward toward the body, its volute clearly delineated. The design is set against a flat field with a plain raised border ring and an irregularly toothed outer rim characteristic of bracteate coinage. The overall style is Romanesque, with bold, simplified forms typical of early 13th-century German ecclesiastical bracteates.
