Additional information

Siboto IV of Seefeld served as Bishop of Augsburg from 1227 until his death in 1247 — not 1249, a date discrepancy that appears in several auction records likely conflating his episcopate's administrative close with a successor's formal installation. Bracteates from this mint are notoriously fragile; the single-sided striking process left the fabric exceptionally thin, and surviving examples without splits or fold damage are genuinely uncommon.
