Obverse description Central cross pattée with arms extending to and merging with an inner beaded circle, dividing the field into four quadrants each containing a single pellet. The entire motif is enclosed within a raised circular border, itself surrounded by a prominent outer ring of large pellets. The design is characteristic of the simplified ecclesiastical bracteate coinage of the Baltic region, struck on a thin, irregularly shaped flan.
