正面描述 Uniface bracteate struck on a thin, irregularly shaped silver flan. The central field bears a stylized royal or margravial device in high relief, rendered in the characteristic Romanesque-Gothic transitional manner associated with the Moravian bracteate coinage of Ottokar II. The design features bold, interlocking decorative elements of an architectural or heraldic character, typical of the small bracteate series issued under the Margraviate of Moravia during the mid-thirteenth century. The rim is unbeaded and irregular, consistent with the hammered bracteate technique of the period.

附加信息

Ottokar II of Bohemia held Moravia as margrave before ascending the Bohemian throne, using the territory's mints as part of a deliberate policy of consolidating Přemyslid authority across the region. The small bracteate deniers issued under his Moravian administration reflect a transitional moment — thin-flan bracteate technology persisting in Moravia while heavier pfennig traditions dominated neighboring mints. Cach 942 sits among a tightly clustered group of attributions that scholars have debated for decades, with some earlier catalogs assigning these pieces to slightly different date ranges within Ottokar's Moravian tenure.
