The central device depicts a seated frontal figure, interpreted as the margrave Ottokar II, shown with stylized hair and facial features rendered in the Romanesque manner. The figure is flanked on either side by naturalistic birds or eagles, their heads turned outward, wings folded against the body. The composition is enclosed within a shallow concave field typical of Moravian bracteate coinage of the mid-thirteenth century, with no legend present.
