Obverse description Facing crowned royal bust of King Ottokar II depicted in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of Bohemian bracteate coinage of the mid-13th century. The crowned head is rendered frontally with schematic facial features including rounded eyes and a broad nose, framed by flowing hair falling to either side. A flat crown with three fleurs or trefoil finials surmounts the head, separated from the hair by a horizontal band. The design is set within a raised inner beaded or rope border, with a plain outer rim formed by the characteristic thin hammered flan of the bracteate technique. The field is otherwise uninscribed.
