Obverse description Uniface bracteate struck on a thin silver flan with a characteristically irregular, lobate edge. The central device depicts a frontal facing head, crowned and wearing a broad hat or helmet-like headpiece, flanked symmetrically on each side by large stylized foliate branches or wings, each composed of multiple lobes in the Romanesque-Gothic transitional manner. The composition is bold and high-relief, occupying the concave central field, which is enclosed by a raised inner border. No legend or inscription is present; the design is purely figural, typical of Bohemian bracteate coinage of the mid-13th century.
